Topical acne treatment burning+itching, does this mean its working?
I have mild to moderate facial acne, after applying it to my facial skin I notice a highly irritating feeling, it’s burning and itching pretty bad, I know not to scratch it but does this mean that this topical emulsion cream is working?
It was prescribed to me by a dermatologist, by the way

It means that your skin is getting really dried out. This MAY help acne but its easier to just find another product. Use it for a couple weeks and if acne continues then just find another treatment.
I was always told by my dermatologist that if it burns or itches badly then you need to stop using it or use it a little less to build a tolerance and can use it as prescribed. Irritating your skin won’t do anything to help acne and might make it worse.
