What is the usual ingredient in topical dental anesthetic?

The cream that tastes like raspberries or strawberry that the dentist or dental hygienist rubs on your gums before a cleaning or an injection…. what is the ingredient for the topical anesthetic?
        Is it lidocaine?

I had a dental cleaning with some of that stuff put on liberally on my gums and it’s been a few days and i’m feeling some weird side effects. Things like foggy head, some weird depression type of feeling and my mind is a little wired and racing. I’m not 100% clear if its the topical but it’s better safe than sorry to see if it’s any possibility of an adverse effect of the drug because I’m scheduled to meet with the dentist 4 more times all requiring injections of local anesthetics.
She put the topical for a cleaning my gums were real sensitive and started to bleed when she started to work on them.

I have had local anesthetics about 5 years ago and it was only one mild shot. I dont know the ingredient of it. But also that same year, I had 4 or 5 shots of lidocaine or novocaine because the dentist wanted to extract 4 premolars (for braces) in 1 sitting and when I got up I walked to the receptionist table to pay and I passed out and my BP dropped dangerously low. but i recovered..

I should note, I’m also very sensitive to medication in general. I need a 1/4 or 1/2 dose of something and i’m good when it comes to most drugs.

How to get rid of coloring caused by bruising?

I’m 80. The last 5-6 yrs when I accidently hit my lower legs with grocery bags or bump into things, at first there appears a red to dark purple coloring then it eventually becomes brown and I’ve been unable to get rid of this discoloring. My legs have vericose veins and about 5 years ago I had a blood clot in my left leg. My sister who is 3 years older than I, have this same problem. Is there a topical cream that will rid me of this discoloring or is there a medication in pill form that will work? My dermatologist precribed a prescriptioned topical cream but so far, the old spots are still there.

          Will appreciate any help.
