Acne creams, HELPP!!!!!!?

Ok, yesterday I went to the drug store and got some acne medication because I have light to moderate acne on my face and back. I got anti-bacterial cleaning cream soap stuff to wash my skin. And I got 2 creams. 1 of the creams is just a typical, topical cream to help my acne(cant remember what it is called). I also got this stuff, AcneScar cream, because I have some acne scars on my face. Last night I washed my face with the anti bacteria stuff and put the cream on the spots where it needed to go(face and back). I used both creams. This morning, my face looked the same or maybe worse. I have had NO luck in the past using creams like this. How long should I give this stuff before I give up? This is so frustrating… Thanks.

If possible can a dermatologist answer this: Is it okay to mix my acne scar removal cream with my prescription?

My dermatologist prescribed to me a medication that has benzoyl peroxide in it. My dermatologist also mentioned to me (upon asking him) that I could still uses a scar removal cream on my face.

I didn’t get the chance to specifically ask him if the cream is still okay despite the information on it.

      My scar removal cream says

"Do not use Hydroquinone topical with Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrogen Peroxide, or other Peroxide products, or if you are sensitive to Hydroquinone. If Hydroquinone topical is accidentally used with a product that contains Peroxide, a temporary dark staining of the skin may occur. The staining can be removed by washing the skin with soap and water. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are using other topical medications, or herbal products"

Does this mean I cannot use my acne scar removal cream at all? Or can I use it as long as I don’t apply the two at the same time/as long as I have enough of a time difference between when each are applied?

Will exfoliating my face make it break out more?

I am currently on an oral and topical acne medication for my skin. It is helping, but my skin is very dry and peeling. Would exfoliating irritate my skin more and cause more breakouts? Also, does anyone know of a good moisturizing cream to help soften my skin? At the moment I am using Prescriptives cleanser and lotion-the lotion is not helping with the extreme dryness.
